Lab plates (PCR twin.tec plate BioBased) by Eppendorf SE
Our Eppendorf twin.tec® PCR Plates are made for reproducible high-quality results in robotic systems. They combine extremely thin-walled polypropylene wells for optimal heat transfer into the sample with robust polycarbonate frames for high rigidity and geometric stability.
Our new bio-based plates open new doors to make laboratory work much more sustainable without having to revalidate existing protocols when switching from our conventional plates.
They are made with polymer resins from bio-based renewable raw materials. The production process follows the mass balance approach, where fossil oils are replaced by second generation renewable resources (e.g. forestry waste and residues, vegetable oil refining or used cooking oil). The resulting bio-based polymers are chemically identical to polymers made from fossil oils. This enables us to offer you the same outstanding technical properties as our conventional boards.
Our production sites are "ISCC PLUS" certified by the ISCC (International Sustainability & Carbon Certification) organization.
The high precision of the products is guaranteed by the unique design and the special manufacturing process. Each individual plate is a high-precision component in your workflow, ensuring optimal reproducibility.
Thanks to the laser-engraved lot numbers and expiry dates, twin.tec Trace PCR plates BioBased are perfect for complex tests, automated high-throughput applications and regulated workflows. They support traceability and documentation for audits.
In addition to the high-throughput and compliance features, these microplates also have a laser-engraved optical guide grid and an OptiTrack® matrix for fast well alignment during manual pipetting.
All Eppendorf plates are available with individual barcodes - you can find our Barcode Wizard here.
All Eppendorf twin.tec plates are 'PCR clean', i.e. they have been batch tested by an independent and accredited laboratory and are certified free of various common PCR contaminants including DNA, RNA, DNase, RNase and PCR inhibitors. With these microplates you can have maximum confidence in your results.
