Horizontal alignment is an important prerequisite for the safe operation of machines and systems. Inclination sensors are used for absolute angle and position detection on mobile working machines, as they measure the angle of the respective object in relation to gravity. No complicated, elaborate mechanical connections are required for mounting, which extremely simplifies the integration of the sensors into the respective application. ifm offers inclination sensors in different versions, measuring ranges and accuracy classes depending on the requirements. In addition, the devices are available with different output options such as CANopen, J1939 and IO-Link.
