x-, y- and z-axis: sensor detects accelerations spatially
- Optimum condition analysis through acceleration measurement in 3 axes
- For connection to VSE diagnostic electronics
- Universally usable thanks to IEPE standard
- Large measuring range for a wide range of application scenarios
- Robust designs with IP 67, IP 68 and IP 69K
For efficient vibration diagnosticsThe VSM type accelerometers are capable of detecting vibration changes on the x, y and z axes. This spatial perception facilitates condition monitoring of machines where forces and imbalances act not only on one axis of motion. These can be motors, but also moving plant components.
Important indicator of condition monitoring
The acceleration signal plays an important role in the condition monitoring of machines and systems. This is because it indicates various symptoms, such as imbalance, bearing damage or crash, which can lead to machine failure or even irreparable damage.
The recorded raw data is transmitted to an external device, such as the ifm diagnostic electronics type VSE, for evaluation.
Robust: measuring principle MEMSThe accelerometers are based on a MEMS chip (capacitive measuring principle) and are intended for demanding industrial use. Thanks to the MEMS technology, the sensor can be actively tested for functionality via the diagnostic electronics (self-test).
In line
with market requirements: IEPE standardThe sensor transmits its data in accordance with the IEPE signal, a common market standard for accelerometers, among other things. The advantage of IEPE devices is their consistently high sensitivity - regardless of the type and length of the connecting cable.
