Locking unit for torque by SITEMA GmbH & Co. KG

Wait a minute - holding torques and axial forces with just one clamping head?
In special applications, it may be necessary to hold large axial forces and torques simultaneously.

With pneumatic hold-open, there is a small series for this purpose, the KFPD clamping units. Depending on the size, 12 kN / 120 Nm or 30 kN / 500 Nm can be held.

The "normal" SITEMA hydraulic clamping units KFH are already capable of holding smaller torques (example: 280 Nm with simultaneous axial force of 100 kN on rod diameter 56).

If higher torques are to be transmitted, our special KFHD series comes into play. Compared to the standard KFH, it can transmit torques that are higher by a factor of 10 (example: 2800 Nm with simultaneous axial force of 100 kN on rod diameter 56).

Both pneumatic and hydraulic applications are limited to securing against loosening (i.e. static holding); braking of rotating masses is not possible.
