Rock pitons by STUBAI ZMV GmbH
Rock Pitons have many uses, but are especially useful for unforseeable situations such as retreats or accidents. STUBAI has been hand-forging these tools for many years. In accordance with EN 569, we have differentiated between safety pitons (S) and pitons for progressing (F).
PROFILE PITON
High load resistant, slightly wedge-shaped piton for use as a leader, CrMoV-steel.
Rock piton BONG
High load resistant, slightly wedge-shaped piton for use as a leader, CrMoV-steel. The two holes at the front can also be used to reduce the moment of force.

SOFT METAL PITON
To fit small cracks exactly, with head turned 90 degrees.
RING PITON DIAGONAL
Head at 45 degrees, with loose ring for use in abseiling. Two variations: Hardened and unhardened
V-RING PITON
The V-shape makes this piton widen as it is forced into a crack. The ring is ideal for abseiling.
