Silane by Wacker Chemie AG

Silanes are the starting point and main component in silicone production. As a pioneer of silicone production in Europe, WACKER began producing silanes in 1950. At WACKER, silanes are produced as part of an integrated production process by direct synthesis of silicon and methyl chloride (Müller-Rochow synthesis). Silicates are produced from tetrafunctional silanes.
