Head transmitters are mounted in the standardized connection heads of temperature sensors. At the input, there are types available for resistance signals (e.g. Pt100/1000) and also for various thermocouples. At the output, analog signals ranging from 0 … 10 V or from 4 … 20 mA are supplied. Both a number of analog models and programmed digital models are offered. There are designs for the B-head just as for the J-head, and also some special designs with LCD display. Some of the types are galvanically isolated.
