Energy absorption for piping systems

WEAR™ vibration dampers for piping systems are based on an energy absorbing rope spring with a special structure to protect objects against vibrations occurring during continuous operation and to isolate them against seismic and dynamic loads. The new generation of energy-absorbing vibration dampers is characterized by its particularly simple design. They do not require oils, seals or complex moving parts to function. This design avoids the typical problems associated with complex hydraulic or mechanical dampers, where they are more prone to failure.

The wire rope isolator on which this technology is based has been used successfully by the military for over 25 years. Accordingly, it meets the quality control requirements of the authorities and the military, and the insulator is thus also exempt from surveillance tests. Only a visual inspection in the installed condition is required to ensure serviceability. WEAR™ vibration isolators can be equipped with a variety of line system mounting accessories and supplied in accordance with ISO 9001, Mil-Q, Mil-I, B31.1 or ASME Section III Subsection NF.
