Paperless quality control with LogicSteel XR

With LogicSteel XR, you can switch from 2D drawings on paper to precise 3D models that are projected directly onto your steel structures using Extended Reality (XR). The XR glasses allow you to see at a glance whether the components are positioned correctly. With paperless quality control, you simplify the process and prevent costly (interpretation) errors from leaving the factory.

How paperless quality control works

In the XR back office, you manage all production data and select the assemblies you want to check. Here you can digitally display the 3D model with the corresponding (welding) drawings. Quality control then begins in production.

With the All-in-One XR headset, you can project the 3D model directly onto the physical assembly in the workshop. This allows you to immediately see whether everything is correct - without paper drawings or manual measurements.

With LogicSteel XR, you can perform non-contact quality inspections up to a distance of 18 meters (60 ft) with an accuracy of 1.5 mm (1/16"). The tool supports both metric and imperial units. This prevents interpretation errors and increases the reliability of the test.

Have you noticed any problems? Then simply take photos and videos via your headset, mark any deviations and send all results to the XR back office via the cloud. From there, the necessary measures can be taken immediately.

The benefits of paperless quality control

LogicSteel XR is ideal for companies in the steel construction, metalworking and mechanical engineering sectors that want to optimize their digital workflow. Paperless quality control prevents costly (interpretation) errors from leaving the factory and leads to:

  • No more 2D drawings
  • Faster inspections
  • Less rework
  • Paperless workflows
  • Seamless integration with Tekla

LogicSteel XR users save valuable time during inspections, even with inexperienced staff. You can inspect a complex assembly in just 5 minutes instead of 30 minutes. For simpler assemblies, you can save up to 10 minutes per inspection.
