MDA power clamping nut multiplies tightening torque

Highest clamping forces with maximum safety

The current model of the mechanical power clamping nut MDA combines the simplest manual operation with low tightening values and maximum clamping forces. In conjunction with variable-length T-slot bolts or clamping bolts, the through-hole thread enables very flexible use with different clamping heights or tool thicknesses. The inner workings can multiply the manual tightening torque by means of a robust gear drive with special plain bearing. The self-locking mechanism guarantees maximum operational reliability. A long service life is ensured by the material design made of heat-treated steel with corrosion-protective surface coating. Endurance tests confirm the expectations. The clamping nuts were subjected to a continuous load of up to 10,000 load cycles on a special test bench.

The MDA power clamping nuts are available for thread sizes from M12 to M48 and can apply a clamping force of up to 180kN.

The MDA can be used in all areas of mechanical engineering where high clamping forces are required or used. Whether it is the clamping of pressing and punching tools or workpiece clamping during machining, for example, the MDA power clamping nut enables safer, more economical and more precise clamping. Under normal operating conditions, it is maintenance-free and can be used up to 200°C. Special versions can even be used up to 400°C.
