The capaNCDT TFG6220 capacitive measuring system measures the thickness of electrically conductive foils, such as battery foils, with maximum precision. A vacuum device sucks in the object to be measured, smoothes it and thus ensures optimum, wrinkle-free contact. In this way, the measurement can be carried out with the greatest possible precision.
The TFG6220 consists of a measuring bracket including sensors and an external controller unit. The TFG6220 is used for quality control in offline random samples for thickness measurement. Thanks to the ready-to-use pre-assembly, the capacitive measuring system is available for rapid deployment. the intuitive web interface can be used to make settings, carry out measurements and display and output the measurement data.
The thickness is calculated by offsetting two opposing capacitive sensors. In contrast to tactile measuring principles, the thickness measurement is always highly reproducible at the same point. High-precision results are achieved thanks to the automatic smoothing of the test film using a vacuum device. The object being measured is not damaged. The measurement is taken from two sides onto the measuring insert, which serves as a reference surface. This allows the system to be calibrated to zero before measuring the thickness.
