Rotary vane detectors are frequently used in the food sector to monitor material flows, for example in conveyor technology or in dosing and filling systems. They are used for full, demand and empty detection of bulk materials such as grain, flour, sugar, spices and other foodstuffs. For hygienic reasons, the installed devices are often made of stainless steel or other easy-to-clean materials. At the same time, they must meet the stringent requirements of the food industry, which often has very strict regulations and standards for food hygiene and safety.

A metal detectable oil seal is a special oil seal made of materials that can be detected by metal detectors. Such oil seals are often used in the food and beverage industry to ensure that unintentional foreign objects cannot enter the product.

Meeting the high demands of the food industry with metal-detectable oil seal

In addition to the four oil seals already available, the metal-detectable option is now also available with the Rotonivo® series of rotary vane detectors.

Foreign object detection plays an important role in food processing and packaging to ensure food safety and quality and to prevent contamination by foreign objects (e.g. plastics, rubber, sealing material, etc.). Since the shaft seal is metal detectable, metal absorbers can sort out the contaminated food during the production process.
