Sustainable leadership: First electronic pipette awarded ACT label

The Eppendorf Xplorer® and Xplorer plus single-channel pipettes have been certified with the ACT® label by My Green Lab®. This makes the Xplorer the first electronic pipette on the market to be awarded the ACT label. Eppendorf thus reaffirms its commitment to promoting environmentally conscious purchasing decisions in laboratories worldwide.

The ACT label, which stands for Accountability, Consistency, Transparency, provides laboratories with a clear indication of sustainable practices by manufacturers. Certification is based on assessments of manufacturing processes, energy and water use, packaging and disposal.

The Xplorer pipettes are manufactured in an Eppendorf production facility that runs on 100% green power and has a robust environmental management system evidenced by ISO 14001 certification.

The pipettes are made of high-quality, durable housing and piston material. The rechargeable battery with low energy consumption ensures long life and reduced environmental impact for years to come

The packaging of the Xplorer is made of almost 90% recycled and recyclable material, which of course still protects the electronic pipette during transport, but minimizes the environmental impact.
