A powerful laser displacement sensor for in-line use

equipped with the integrated EtherCAT, EtherNet/IP and PROFINET interfaces, the optoNCDT 1900 laser triangulation sensors are now smarter, faster and easier to use. They combine a high measuring frequency with a compact size, an integrated controller and high measuring accuracy. Setup time is even shorter thanks to the mounting accessories and the intuitive operating concept via a web interface.

The optoNCDT 1900 laser triangulation sensors are used for automated displacement, distance and position measurements in industrial processes. In applications such as automotive manufacturing, 3D printing, coordinate measuring machines, injection molding machines, packaging machines and CNC machines, as well as in the battery industry, smartphone production, robotics applications and wood processing, they provide highly accurate measurement values.

The integrated EtherCAT, EtherNet/IP and PROFINET interfaces make it easy to connect the sensors to control systems. The advantages are particularly evident in dynamic processes and when several devices and machines are networked. By averaging the measured values in two levels, the sensors offer a smooth signal path over slopes and edges, thus avoiding signal overshoot. For changing surfaces, there is Advanced Surface Compensation, which adapts the exposure time to the target surface in case of rapid surface changes.

The sensors can be mounted using adjustment sleeves, a patented mounting concept. This allows them to be automatically aligned correctly. An external control unit is not required, as the compact sensor works with an integrated controller.
