New shut-off and control valves for the food industry

Schubert & Salzer Control Systems is showcasing new series of aseptic and sliding gate valves at Anuga FoodTec. The manufacturer guarantees high delivery reliability and short delivery times.

Ingolstadt, Cologne. - Strict requirements are placed on valves in food processing. At Anuga FoodTec 2022, Schubert & Salzer Control Systems will be presenting high-precision control valves and reliable shut-off valves for numerous processes in the food and beverage industry. From April 26 to 29, the EHEDG-certified aseptic corner valve 6051 and the new 3A-compliant hygienic corner valve 6052 will be the main focus at booth D055 in hall 5.1
. Both sterile valves can be designed as shut-off or control valves. The new particularly compact sliding gate valve Type 8028 with diaphragm actuator will also be on show.

Personal communication - reliable delivery situation

In addition to new and further developments, Schubert & Salzer Control Systems has an important message in store for trade fair visitors. "Even in the current situation, we guarantee security of supply as a reliable partner to the industry, which we realize through extensive measures
," explains the Head of Purchasing and Logistics Alwin Berger.
This is because the specialist for control and shut-off valves has long before relied on comprehensive, dynamically managed inventories and invested in stable supply chains. The result is crisis-proof delivery capability and short delivery times.

Valves for food production

The valves shown - like all control and shut-off valves from Schubert & Salzer Control Systems - are manufactured at the company's headquarters in Ingolstadt. Characteristic of the 6051 aseptic angle valves and the new, now 3A-compliant 6052 hygienic angle valve is their outstanding
cleanability for use in food production and beverage technology, e.g. in dairies. This is made possible above all by the optimized flow behavior and a valve body made of non-porous solid stainless steel with minimal surface roughness. A PTFE-coated
diaphragm separates the process chamber from the valve actuator and is also completely insensitive to the high temperatures encountered in SIP or CIP processes.
The sliding gate valve type 8028 controls liquid, gaseous or vaporous media with high precision. It scores particularly well when used in confined spaces: with a nominal size of DN100, for example, the installation height of the most compact GS1 version is only 487 millimeters.
The sliding gate technology regulates the flow in milliseconds by moving two slotted sealing discs arranged perpendicular to the direction of flow linearly one above the other. The actuator thus only has to overcome the sliding friction between the two discs.
This reduces the actuating force by 90 percent compared to poppet valves of the same nominal size at the same differential pressure and is particularly low-wear.
