The fixing specialist fischer receives the German Design Award 2022 as winner in the category "Excellent Product Design - Building and Elements" for its new EasyHook range. This confirms the high design quality of the range of round, eye and angled hooks for uncomplicated mounting and hanging of objects at home.

"In addition, the award honours the work of our employees who are responsible for the project."

The EasyHook round, eye and angled hooks can be plugged onto countersunk screws as adapters. They can then be easily and quickly installed either directly in wood or, together with the fischer DuoPower plug, in all other common building materials. Made of glass-fibre reinforced plastic, the EasyHook is powerful even with heavy loads of up to 80 kilograms per fixing point. The stabilising screw, which runs through the entire shaft, makes the hooks permanently dimensionally stable and fully loadable. Thanks to technical refinements, such as the integrated predetermined breaking point, the EasyHook can be optimally aligned and screwed tight. The hooks are always mounted flush with the surface and, thanks to different screw-in depths and their long shank area, can be anchored to different depths in the building material - depending on the desired distance from the wall.

The German Design Council presents the German Design Award once a year. The international jury is made up of respected design experts from business, science and design. For the 2022 award, there were around 4,500 submissions from 63 countries. Of these, a total of around 1,200 winners were selected in a total of 70 categories, which are divided into the superordinate areas of "Excellent Product Design", "Excellent Communications Design" and "Excellent Architecture". In the "Building and Elements" group, 41 of the 109 participants received an award. One of them is fischer with its EasyHook range.

The chipboard screw fischer PowerFast II has already won the German Design Award. Its success at the 2020 award ceremony was due to its ease of installation and high performance as well as its wide range of applications for different fixing projects. The fischer DuoPower has also already been awarded the coveted design prize. For example, the intelligent anchor with innovative material combination received the German Design Award 2018 in gold in the category "Workshop and Tools" as the first-place winner in this segment. Its special feature: the DuoPower combines several functional principles, which it activates independently in the building material. Since it can spread, fold and knot, it is universally suitable for solid, perforated and slab building materials. Its self-explanatory design also gives the user a safe feeling during installation.
