RotoClamp - strong clamping for safe production

The powerful RotoClamp clamping systems from HEMA are ideal for rotary position clamping in axes, tables and swivel heads of machines. Since the clamping system operates according to the fail-safe principle, it clamps axes quickly and with great force even in the event of a power failure.

Safe and precise production processes with pneumatic clamping systems from HEMA
Many machines and systems in industrial production have axes and spindles that need to be clamped securely in various working positions. For these applications, HEMA offers RotoClamp: a rotary clamping system that can also be used as a fail-safe device. RotoClamp is characterized by high clamping forces at relatively low operating pressures. This is made possible by the pneumatic operating principle of the clamping system, which is based on a spring accumulator. By venting the inner spring diaphragm chamber and venting the outer spring diaphragm chamber, the diaphragm is relieved. As a result, the clamping element is elastically deformed in the area of the clamping surface and presses on the shaft to be fixed. If necessary, the clamping force can be further increased by applying additional compressed air to the outer spring diaphragm chamber using the booster function.

In the event of a pressure failure, the axis is clamped immediately (fail-safe version). The reaction time is particularly short thanks to the pneumatics. Extremely short clamping times can be achieved with the quick release valve and the quick release fastener mounted directly on the clamping mechanism. RotoClamp is available in an internal and an external clamping version and is compatible with all shaft sizes commonly used in the industry.
