Hexagon Metrology has released the Leica Absolute Tracker AT402, a new generation of laser trackers based on the Leica AT401 product line. This portable 3D Absolute Tracker can be used for fully guided 3D measurement processes as well as traditional inspection tasks. The new laser tracking system is optimized for ease of use, so operators can focus on the measurement task without the need for complex setups such as sample size or measurement frequency. The Leica AT402 is reportedly ideal for high-volume precision measurement applications in industries such as aerospace, power generation, and heavy equipment, as well as other manufacturers producing large parts and components.

The Leica AT402 Absolute Laser Tracker is a portable Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM) capable of performing large-volume measurements in 3D or 6DOF with sub-millimeter accuracy.

The Leica AT402 features a simplified user interface with four predefined measurement profiles that allow the instrument settings to be adjusted to any measurement condition at the click of a button.
