(1) Which materials must be tested?
For suspensions/emulsions, a liquid-dispersive particle sizer must be selected. Some materials also react with water, so a liquid-dispersive particle sizer is also required. In general, dry dispersion particle sizers are required for cement, metal powders and phase materials.

(2) What is the particle size range to be tested?
