FLUX FEM 4070 wins the iF product design award 2010

"FLUX FEM 4070 wins the iF product design award 2010" by FLUX-GERÄTE GmbH

“Form follows function” is undisputedly a guiding principle which has always enjoyed the greatest respect at the specialist pump manufac- turer FLUX-GERÄTE GmbH with all of its product innovations.
The iF product design award has been recognised as a trade mark honouring good design since 1953. Once again this year, it was unthinkable that there would not be a special innovation from FLUX. With its innovative design and the highest possible level of technical refinement, the FEM 4070 succeeded in a direct comparison with the competition and won one of the most eminent design awards of all times. But in Maulbronn we won’t be resting on the laurels we have won. The coveted iF-logo is at once both award and incentive. The FEM 4070 convinced the jury because of its consistent fulfilment of the CI guidelines and the open, clearly structured language of colour. The ergonomic, particularly distinctive one-hand operation was clearly emphasised. Alongside the compact constructional form and the intentionally simple basic geometry, the fully electronically controlled barrel pump motor stands out on account of its integrated no-volt release for protection against re-starts and for its powerful 500 Watts performance. Single-handed operation is possible by the ergonomically shaped handle and the switch arrangement. The speed is controlled via an easy-to-operate touch button. Lifting eyes are integrated into the load-bearing red housing part so as to optimally balance out the weight of the motor and the pump hose set. The switches and buttons are colour-coordinated to the individual functions.
