With the IFS2407-0.8 Micro-Epsilon offers a new confocal sensor with a measuring range of 0.8 mm. This compact sensor opens up new fields of application in displacement and thickness measurement. In combination with a high resolution of 24 nm, the sensor allows the measurement of transparent layers such as glass or plastic films with a layer thickness of 40 µm and above. Another advantage is the wide measuring angle of up to +/- 30° (NA 0.5). In combination with a light spot diameter of only 6 µm, even the finest structures can be detected.

confocalDT IFS2405/90-6

The IFS2405/90-6 chromatic confocal sensor is used for precise displacement and thickness measurements on diffuse and reflective surfaces, especially on transparent materials. The new 90° variant allows more flexible mounting options. If the installation depth does not allow the use of a sensor with a straight beam exit, the 90° sensor offers a space-saving alternative. Thanks to the high base distance of 41 mm, the sensor can be placed at a safe distance in critical environments. This makes the IFS2405/90-6 sensor suitable for measurement tasks in the glass industry and enables high-resolution thickness measurements from a layer thickness of 300 µm. In addition, the IFS2405-6/90-6 sensor provides reliable results at tilts of up to ± 10°.

This sensor is designed for use under demanding vacuum conditions. The passive design of the sensor ensures that no heat is emitted to the environment. The accessories are also suitable for the special operating conditions. In addition to the sensors, Micro-Epsilon offers cables and accessories tailored to the respective specifications in cleanroom, vacuum and ultra-high vacuum
