With 130 Nm of tightening torque, generate 25 tons of clamping force
The optimized SC power clamping screw is used in a variety of ways. It has proven itself, among other things, in presses, punching machines, machine tools as well as in fixture construction and equipment construction. There are 4 standardized sizes with graduated thread diameters available, as well as a special series with particularly high clamping forces.
The SC power clamping screw has a special interior that acts as a mechanical power amplifier. Particularly high clamping forces are created with comparatively low tightening torques and the greatest possible operational safety. The wedge clamping system, which is self-locking in every position, offers a clamping stroke of up to 3 mm.
In addition to the tried and tested sizes of M36, M48, M64 and M80, JAKOB also offers a special version SC 100. With it, clamping forces of up to 250 Nm can be generated with a tightening torque of just 130 Nm. In order to obtain reproducible clamping force values, it is best to use a torque wrench.
The power clamping screws are permanently lubricated and maintenance-free under normal operating conditions. Special designs such as customer-specific special threads or a high temperature design up to 400 ° C are possible at any time on request.
