STM COMPLETES SYSTEM FUSION WITH STRATEGIC PARTNER BYSTRONIC

With “STM Box”, the Austrian waterjet pioneer STM has developed an interface that makes BYSTRONIC waterjet systems compatible with STM high-pressure pumps via plug & play. With this first, BYSTRONIC systems can finally benefit from the entire STM system cosmos. In 2020, the creative water jet specialist wants to demonstrate the imagination this option can offer during a road show in Germany, Austria and Switzerland directly at the “scene of the crime”.

A strategic partnership has existed between the Swiss company BYSTRONIC AG and the Austrian STM GmbH since September of 2018 already. In the meantime, BYSTRONIC has discontinued manufacturing waterjet systems but continues to maintain its customer service network. At the same time, STM has familiarised itself with the Swiss partner's system technology and made the two systems fully compatible both technically and on the service level. As the last link, the waterjet pioneer now presents the “STM Box”, which allows even STM ‘s servo high-pressure pump to be connected to BYSTRONIC systems in just a few steps. Interested parties can now get an impression of the plug&play qualities of the “STM Box” in the showroom of the BYSTRONIC headquarters in Niederönz. The small interface box is representative of the almost oversized added leeway that the consistent collaboration provides for BYSTRONIC users. After all, not only are completely new tuning options and attractive spare parts alternatives available. On the contrary, STM also offers many new possibilities on the application and service level to make your own machinery fit for the future and to use new added value potentials. Moreover, components that have not been available to date, like the resource-efficient “OneClean” wastewater treatment system, can contribute to increasing efficiency. STM promotes the innovative spirit of the new “family members” by maintaining BYSTRONIC users as regular customers with corresponding preferential conditions. Interested parties can obtain non-binding advice at the STM test centres in Eben, Austria, Schweinfurt, Germany, or the new Swiss test centre in Reiden, Germany, and experience the “STM PremiumCut” waterjet system in operation as a counterpart to the “BYSTRONIC Byjet” model. In 2020, STM also wants to go on a tour and persuade BYSTRONIC users in the entire German-speaking region with Germany, Austria and Switzerland of new possibilities directly at the workplace. Personal invitations will follow as soon as the planning is completed.

The end that was a beginning: BYSTRONIC users can look forward to a decade of unlimited possibilities starting in 2020

The beginning of the new decade gives BYSTRONIC customers privileged access to the modular system cosmos of STM. Thanks to the new “STM Box”, this now also includes the “STM Jet” high-pressure pump. This advantage is also free of charge, because the “STM Box” will in future automatically be included in the scope of delivery when a high-pressure pump from STM is purchased. The STM range consists of the portal system lines “EcoCut”, “MasterCut”, “PremiumCut”, “PremiumCut IFC”, “MicroCut” and “Cube”. Based on these versions, you can configure tailor-made complete systems for any requirement profile and convert or upgrade them at any time – from simple two-dimensional cuts to tube cutting to nested, three-dimensional robot cutting processes. Around 150 individualisation options are available to choose from for greater performance, flexibility, process reliability, ergonomics or sustainability. Each system can be used for pure water, abrasive or combined cutting processes. This means that all machines can cut a wide variety of materials without retooling. Parallel cutting (2D) with up to six cutting heads is also possible. Together with its additional compact systems “RobotCut MJ”, an extremely path-accurate 6-axis robot, and “MicroCut MJ” for the production of extremely delicate components, STM’s range provides an innovative waterjet production solution for all currently possible areas of application. Functionality, economy, ease of operation and transportability are the decisive factors for the design. Construction and price-performance ratio also prepare small and medium-sized companies for the entry into the waterjet technology of the future. All systems are produced in series and pre-installed, tested and as a rule supplied containerized. BYSTRONIC users should therefore consider whether in their case a replacement or a tuning is the more sensible investment. It should be noted here that STM also accepts old BYSTRONIC systems in payment.

Interested customers who want to find out more about this topic can get to know STM up close at all the leading industry trade fairs in Europe and at the test centres in Eben in Austria in Germany or in Switzerland. It is also possible to request a personal pattern or a cost-benefit analysis without obligation. Personal appointment requests and dfx files for test cuts will be accepted by telephone (+43 6458 20014 -832) or e-mail (lfi@stm.at) up to one week before the start of the fair.
