In industrial applications, especially in the chemical, process and oil and gas industry, corrosion can be a real challenge. These types of industries are coping with demanding environmental and process conditions in production and operation. Prevention or control of corrosion by inhibiting often proves to be an economic solution.

A corrosion inhibitor system will add small concentrations of (bio)chemicals into the process. The effectiveness of an inhibitor system greatly depends on the correct injection amount, and can be influenced by the environmental and process conditions; so accuracy is crucial here.

Using a low flow control system containing a Bronkhorst (mini) CORI-FLOW mass flow meter can help you dose amounts of corrosion inhibitors more accurately. High accuracy and high turndown ratio is achieved based on pure mass flow measurement with this flow meter. It can directly control valves and pumps by on-board PID control and can be further optimised with PLC and HMI control extending both performance and flexibility.

Bronkhorst’s Coriolis dosing system approach enables real-time monitoring, control and logging of injection rates. This allows online checking of flow rates and instantaneous re-setting of the required flow rate. Asset management and preventive maintenance is supported with several active diagnostics.

About Bronkhorst High-Tech BV

Bronkhorst High-Tech B.V., established in 1981, offers the most extensive product range of thermal mass flow meters and controllers on the market. Numerous styles of both standard and bespoke instruments can be offered for applications in laboratory, industrial and hazardous areas.

The full scale measuring range (with 50:1 turn-down) for these instruments can be selected between 0-0,7 mln/min and 0-11000 m3n/h for gases and 0-100 mg/h up to 0-20 kg/h for liquids. Furthermore Bronkhorst High-Tech offers pressure transducers and controllers with a minimum range of 0-100 mbar and a maximum range of 0-400 bar. Bronkhorst's Coriolis Mass Flow Meters/Controllers for gases and liquids have a measurement capability between 0,1...5 g/h and 6...600 kg/h. The most recent development is a series of ultra-compact, chip-sensor based instruments for gas flow and pressure measurement and control.

Bronkhorst High-Tech is a truly world-wide organisation with its Headquarters being located in the town of Ruurlo in The Netherlands. With approx. 275 employees at our Headquarters, it is impressive that 45 of these are involved with R&D, 120 in manufacture and 40 involved with after-sales service and customer care. In actual fact, the Customer Service Department offers "round-the-clock" support, seven days a week, to customers in every corner of the world.
