The current issue of driven – the maxon motor magazine – is all about new ideas. In "Making the future happen!", we take an in-depth look at four exciting startups, and two modern soccer robots.

Our society needs new ideas and new technologies to solve the various problems we face in everyday life. Small, dynamic companies play an important role in this respect. In this issue of driven, we will explore four startups that are making a positive contribution to this world with their exceptional ideas. We will also ask an expert about what it takes to successfully found a company.

What are the limits of service robotics?
We will take you on a visit to a delivery service for organic produce in Lausanne and we will also take a closer look at the soccer robots that competed in this year's RoboCup finals. In addition, guest author and robotics researcher, Roland Siegwart, writes about the progress and the limitations in the field of service robotics.
