Encoders with hollow shaft mounting - Pepperl+Fuchs GmbH

Today, hollow shaft encoders contribute to the systematic rationalisation of sensor applications. The principal advantage lies in their straightforward and quick installation, which at the same time does not involve the additional complexity of a mechanical shaft coupling. The result is a space-saving connection of drive shaft and sensor. Pepperl+Fuchs Drehgeber GmbH has consequently expanded its product range to include hollow shaft encoders in various sizes to suit different types of applications. The greatest space-saving hollow shaft encoder option is provided in the form of the Series 81. This sensor has a hollow shaft opening of 6 mm and is just 40 mm x 50 mm in size. Its “Big brother” in the hollow shaft programme is the RHI90, whose external diameter is 90 mm – but relative to comparable hollow shaft encoders on the market it is, however, significantly more compact. The type caters for hollow shaft diameters between 16 and 45 mm. Then the THI58 from the T-Line product series provides an encoder, which impresses above all with its appealing value-for-money performance. It is available in shaft sizes of 10, 12 and 15 mm, whilst at 58 mm the overall diameter corresponds to the standard dimension widely used throughout Europe.
