New addition to the four-bar tricot machine range - KARL MAYER Textilmaschinenfabrik GmbH

KARL MAYER has developed a new machine in its four-bar tricot machine range and, with this machine, has applied its tried-and-tested twin product line strategy to this successful series of tricot machines as well. The new machine is designated the TM 4. With its exceptional price:performance ratio, the TM 4 is the basic version of the HKS 4 and HKS 4-M EL high-tech machines. The new machine also complements the TM series and, with its focus on the production of plain fabrics, complements the TM 4-T as well – the specialist machine for producing terry fabrics. With the new TM 4, KARL MAYER can offer a mid-range machine with four guide bars at an extremely attractive price. The TM 4 is based on the same technical platform as the TM 4-T, and just like the four-bar terry warp knitting machine, is available with N- or EL-pattern drive. The working width of the new machine is 180" and gauges E 28 and E 32 are available. A 4x32" beam frame is used to supply the yarns. The many options on the TM 4 enable it to be adapted optimally to suit the requirements of any particular application. For example, the special features that can be selected include the possibility of extending the working width by 6", the Laser Stop system, a scanner and a spreader. Batching units no. 6 and no. 34 B are available for taking-up the fabric. With its specific technical configuration, the TM 4 offers an exceptional price:performance ratio. The key features of its exceptional performance include a maximum speed of up to 1,400min-1, ease of operation, and a high product quality – a performance profile that makes this new machine particularly interesting for producing plain fabrics for outerwear and sportswear. The TM 4 is also opening up new possibilities and opportunities in the semi-technical textiles sector and should appeal to producers of shoe fabrics and automotive textiles in particular.
